just testing yo to generate some nservicebus template.
Finally after trying it out every possible fix for not installing generator via setting NODE_HOME, permissions etc.
Checked what does npm actually install, and tada it excludes most of it.
if npm files directive is specified then it will only install these files.
The second format in yeoman example specifies sub generators etc., I decided to just exclude it since it looks for generators folder by default.
Also watch out if including .gitignore in template (it will get renamed into .npmignore which is a weird feature) best to just name it as something else.
If still does not work:
- clone repo
- npm install
- npm link
then in some directory
