myconsole

Extends the native Node.JS console object to prefix logging functions with the CallSite information.

How to use

var myconsole = require('myconsole');
myconsole.log('my information');
myconsole.info('my information');
myconsole.warn('my information');
myconsole.error('my information');

• traceError

Sometimes the err is not a Error instance but an object, console.log(err.stack) will fail, maybe you want inspect this object.

myconsole.traceError(new Error('error object'));
myconsole.traceError({msg: 'error message'});

• ifError

Sometimes, callback function could be very simple, just an dummy function or log function.

User.save(user, myconsole.ifError);

You can replace origin console

require('myconsole').replace();
console.log('replaced with myconsole');

and restore to origin console

require('myconsole').replace();
console.log('replaced with myconsole');
console.restore();
console.log('restore to origin');
console.replace();
console.log('replaced with myconsole again');
