myip

A tiny library that fetches your public IP address from whatismyip.com.

Building MyIP

To build myip, make sure you have anvil.js installed globally.

> npm install -g anvil.js

At the prompt, invoke anvil. This will copy the necessary files in the build directory.

> anvil

Using MyIP

After building, you can run myip at the prompt via the cli module.

> cd $MYIP_HOME
> node cli
Your IP address is: 111.222.333.444

You can require the myip module in your own modules as well.

myip(function (err, ip) {
  if (err) return console.error(err);
  console.log('Your IP address is:', ip);
});
