Installation

Usage

var fs = require('fs');
var ProtoServer = require('node-protobuf-server');
var descriptor = fs.readFileSync('./messages.desc');

var server = new ProtoClient([port], descriptor);
server.on('listening', function() {
    server.on('connecting', function() {
        console.log('New client !');
    });
    server.on([messageName], function(client, attrs) {
    });
});
  • port: port to listen to
  • descriptor: message descriptor buffer
  • messageName: name of the message to handle

Generate descriptor file

protoc --descriptor_set_out=messages.desc --include_imports messages.proto
