Tmux Session Manager

Tmux Session Manager is a command-line tool that allow you to easily create/switch/delete tmux sessions.

What it is!

It is meant to allow you to quickly:

  • create and name sessions
  • switch to already existing sessions
  • delete sessions
  • list all sessions

What it is Not!

It is not meant to allow you pre-define a new sessions's windows and panes.

If that's what you want, check out tmuxifier, tmuxinator or teamcoil.

Installation

You need to have node installed on your platform.

Then simply run:

npm install -g tmux

Usage

List all session

List all available tmux sessions

mux ls

Create new session

Create a session with the name life

mux n life

Rename session

Rename the current session to life

mux r life

Switch to session

Switch to session with the name life

mux s life

Delete to session

Delete the session with the name life

mux d life
