Trombone is a framework for building single page applications on top of Backbone.js
- the core components from v2 should be extracted to this project
- Trombone should be distributed as npm package and provide developer with an executable capable of
- creating a folder structure
- running local server which will convert CommonJS to AMD, Handlebars template to compiled function, CSS file to JSON, ...
- packaging application
Application may be created like this:
$ npm install trombone -g $ trombone create widget $ cd widget $ trombone server ... $ trombone build
Trombone is a a temporary name. I like "Le Boeuf" as well but at least for me it's very hard to write it correctly -- probably because I don't know French at all :).
