var XML = require('xml-simple');
XML.parse("<p><b>XML</b></p>", function(e,parsed) { console.log(parsed) })
> { b: 'XML' }

Go to xml2js. This is just a simple wrapper to avoid the event emitter syntax for simple transforms.
